Continue continues to grow at Sankeys…

After wildly febrile scenes at Sankeys on Friday, with Benjamin Damage and Doc Daneeka headlining another sold out crowd, Continue is evolving into one of the UK’s best kept secrets. But for how long?

Sankeys has excellent pedigree with its in-house parties. Tribal Sessions, The Redlight and, more recently, Kaluki to name but three who have helped shaped the club’s growth during the last decade and beyond; Continue is the upstart though which has crept into the city’s mindset, bringing in a host of cutting-edge names from the techno spectrum. Whilst flitting between Spektrum and the Basement, Continue has gathered momentum and respect, principally from the DJs who play there and a crowd craving something new which they have found at occasional sessions dotted through the calendar.

As part of the Sankeys’ story, Continue is a chapter which has only just begun.

"Yea we have a new record called Jumanji dropping on 50 Weapons soon - apart from that we are working on solo stuff - me (DD) for 2020:vision and Ben for 50weapons."

"Which DJ and Producers are killing it for you at the second?"

"Chesus and the Organgrinder from the motherland - and of course some of the old favourites like shed." 

"If there is one track you know is going to completely destroy Continue Friday... Which is it?"

Sankeys next weekend - Just Skank and Kaluki

Sankeys serves up two cracking parties next weekend in Manchester.

The Friday sees a completely free entrance party showcasing the glorious talents of Manchester’s bass music scene. Rammed to the rafters with the heroes of the Mancunian music scene, the ideology rests with Sankeys giving something back to the clubbing fraternity which is such an important component of its longevity and success not only within the region, but on the global clubbing scale.

That vibe is channelled in a different manifesto with Kaluki’s hark back to the acid house era with a vinyl only evening on Saturday. Eschewing anything that wasn’t a staple of the aural aesthetic they’ve simply utilised a decks and mixer showcase; with all this firmly set on a stage. If that wasn’t enough a fancy dress theme, tied inextricably to acid house, is encouraged for everyone wanting to come down to the club.
