Friday saw Sankeys’ summer offering, Thank F**k it’s Friday, present another lineup to mark the end of the working week in Manchester.
Due to an unforeseen burst pipe in the Sankeys basement the party took place upstairs within the intimate surroundings of Spektrum where the light ceiling glowed in time with some serious party house and electro.
Warming up for those arriving early doors DUTCH RUDDER took the role of pacemaker for the punters drinking to freedom from their horrible bosses, for two days at least.
Things were shaping up nicely and by 1 the night’s headliner ALEX KENJI was ready to take over mixing duties. For the next 3 hours he proved the point yet again that there is no better way to cut loose at the end of a week’s slog then to let the hair down with the rest of Manchester’s pleasure seekers. The crowd had the Spektrum booth surrounded, like moths to Kenji’s flame, and his tunes didn’t disappoint. High fives all around.
Those who stuck around till 4 were rewarded with a double-dutch helping, being left skipping to Dutch Rudder once again, closing the night with an hour of tunes that went all the way up to 11......Roll on next Friday......
