Events at last week's 'Thank F**k i'ts Friday' got underway with special guests RILEY AND DURRANT warming up those who arrived soon after doors opened. Spinning their own edits of some old school crowd pleasers such as Nightcrawlers' 'Push the Feeling On' they encouraged the early birds to get the dance floor heated.
At 1 we welcomed our main headliner, MOGUAI, to the DJ booth. coming from his day job producing tracks for the likes of Girls Aloud and Sugababes he brought the noise to those cutting loose on the Spektrum dance floor. Interestingly he opted to use two ipads to manage his cues and samples instead of decks. In doing so he allowed his audience to hear how the progressions in DJ technology are affecting the way clubbing crowds are being fed their energy. By the kinetic scenes witnessed here such an evolution seemed to be welcomed.
From 3 resident Dutch Rudder put in yet another significant stint to bring this week's party to an end. Playing tunes with a darker edge he provided the perfect backdrop for those still raving deep into Saturday morning.
