Happy new year from Sankeys - and this weekend's action coming up

 

 

Sankeys wishes everyone a very happy new year and all the best for 2013! This is the club’s 19^th season and we know it’s going to be a very special one. Thanks for all of your support, and here’s to another 12 months of brilliant action at Sankeys.

Sankeys is right back in business from the word go. With the House Party Part 1 already under its belt, attention moves to the first full weekend of the New Year. And after the brilliant run of festive parties through Xmas culminating in NYE’s spectacular show, 2013 promises to be an even greater year, with Sankeys entering its momentous 19^th season in Manchester. As well as brand new nights Recentes and Fiesta starting this month, the club will offer a dynamic range of taste-making DJs and live acts from across Europe and beyond, ushering in a new era of bookings for the Ancoats institution.

Friday 11^th January sees the Just Skank crew with their first huge serving of drum & bass, dubstep, house, garage, jungle, grime and old school hip hop. This is a free party until 11pm, and the perfect chance to savour what this riotous session is all about, with guests Compa, Dash Total'D and D3ADL1NE and over 30 other DJs and MCs taking over Sankeys’ three rooms for a night a bass-ridden partying.

Then globe-trotting re-edit expert The Revenge touches down at Sankeys for the House Party part 2 on Saturday 11^th January. Not only one of the most amiable men in music, Graeme Clark’s majestic touch across disco, house and soul has created a string of unique takes on classics tracks, as well as many acclaimed productions of his own. He’s also a damn fine DJ, touring the world’s finest clubs and boutique festivals, and comes to Sankeys with a huge sense of anticipation, a master craftsman of groove-orientated sets. Berlin-based Hunee and Medlar support; offering deep house and disco across epic sets at his famed Hunchin All Night parties, the acclaimed DJ and remixer Hunee makes his Sankeys debut, with Wolf Music’s Medlar bringing his superlative house sounds to the club too.
