Continue is everything I wanted from a night, (think I've started up 4 or 5 before this I've lost count!), and now we’ve finally cracked it I think!
There's an amazing crowd, which make the night what it is, everyone is really into their stuff and always up for a party.
Having such a crowd enables us to have a music policy of anything goes (within reason!), looking at our past bookings we usually lean toward a bass/dub techno vibe but there’s been a lot of exceptions, these are just a sample of what's in my head right now:
Tin Man playing his unique acid sound live (debuting it even before playing at the ever innovative Berghain we was proud of that!)
John Heckle playing across the board with a Roland 707, I still don't know what the fuck he was doing with it! I asked him to explain about 8 times, some thing about live samples or sommat!
The Smallville showcase with Moomin, Smallpeople and Juniper was really special too, basically just played deep house on vinyl all night!
So, there are some restrictions, we are open to anything and I think this makes the night what it is, just good tunes basically!
A highlight show to be honest was the last one, with Benjamin Damage and Doc Daneeka, it was a really 'Continue' booking and the music worked really well in terms of progression. With a 2 hour 115bpm warm up from Oliver Byrne, through to some dick head Jozef K who slightly ruined it! Before Daneeka and Damage wrecked it with their house techno/garage vibe, hard to describe seriously! Basically they just rinsed it, they played that new Bashmore one... went off! (personally wasn't too keen on the broomstick song though ;-])!

The legend that is Conor Faktion ended it playing a quality techno set that only years of DJing and being involved in music could be bring. I believe he played Richie Hawtin - Minus / Orange toward the end...
